Exe Big Paddle activity will take place from Exeter’s historic quayside on the Piazza Terracina (View in Google Maps), with paddling on the beautiful River Exe, ship canal and in the Quay basin. Exeter is easily reached by road and rail and the Big Paddle base is easily found once in the city.

Getting to the Exe Big Paddle By car:

Exeter is easily reached via the M5 from the North, A30 from the East or West and A38/A380 from the south.  Once in the city, head for Haven Road just off the A377. We try and keep our impact low, so those who car share get a big grin! Sat Nav Postcode – EX2 8DP

Getting to the Exe Big Paddle by train:

The nearest station is St Thomas Station in Cowick Street. Which is within 5mins walk of The Exe Big Paddle. This is on the mainline for Plymouth from Bristol, London or Penzance and is one stop south of Exeter St Davids (the main station).

From Exeter St Davids follow the brown and blue signs for The Quay. It is around a 30 min walk along the river.

From St Thomas Exit the station and turn right, go under the bridge. Walk through the retail park car park (Boots, TK maxx etc) toward the leisure centre. At the traffic lights cross the road. Go past the Harvester Pub and take the next turning left into Haven Road. Go past the children’s play park and the Piazza is about 50 mtrs front of you.
